Had a great breakfast here the day after a trip to Yellowstone National Park. My chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy were delicious. Curiously though I asked the waiter to add a fried egg to my dish and was told that I could only have them scrambled. I said really? And he said "Really" without an explanation. Perhaps the chef objected to this certain combination of foods? I'm still unsure. This happened after my husband chose sunny side eggs to his order. He and our buddy had the eggs, ham and ciabatta which he thought was very good. Buddy's wife had the Cowboy Skillet which she didn't care for though.

Thursday dinner - yes! We walked from our lodge to this place to grab dinner before calling it a night. They had an artist outside performing and plenty of people lounging around as they waited to be seated or at the outside bar. It gives "Montana" vibes through and through with guns decorating the walls and quirky midwestern decor of "bounty reward" posters, pictures and whatnot. We waited about 25 min to be seated. We ordered the vegetarian burger, black bear, and dizzy buffalo. We really enjoyed them, and the fries were delicious. Overall, I'd come back again.

Stopped in after a long day in YS with boys 8 12 plus a picky mom and dad who is from the south and adventurous eater. Everyone loved everything and plates were wiped clean! Steak fried steak was delicious. Not greasy or overly cooked with the perfect amount of seasoning. Gravy was delicious and held up to our southern standards. Boys had bison burgers and mac. Nothing crazy on the mac but the bison was flavorful and delicious. Hubs had the hunter pie which was absolutely full of veggies and amazing flavors. If you want something authentic to the area, fast and easy this is a must stop for dinner or lunch. Atmosphere was intimate yet fun and overall just a vibe.

Was a damn good chicken fried steak! sat next to a family with the uncontrollable kid ( back when I was a kid I would've got a whooping, but you know these days people are so weird about their kids It'll be OK Johnny nobody else is here. You can scream all day. ) that they didn't seem to care about other than that it was good food and service

Shew! That was delicious!! My husband and I split the Mac-and-Cheese bites and the Caroline meal and we still couldn't eat it all! It was fantastic! I love how it isn't run-of-the-mill food that you can get any where but they really made an effort to make something unique and delicious! I'm in a hunt to find America's best Mac-n-cheese bites and so far these are the winner! They are narrowly beating out some Gouda M&C bites from Indiana and jalapeño cheddar Mac-n-cheese bites from the Black Hills (which would probably be the winner if they had been served with almost anything but ranch). I would like to see the jam be a ticker. It felt like it was a whole chore trying to eat it but it was worth the effort. We had hopes the sandwich would be spicy because it called for habanero but it wasn't spicy at all. It was sweet but still delicious! 10/10, would love to try again!

This place was a hidden gem for us during our stay in Gardiner. We ate dinner here one night, got there right around 5pm and shortly after the place was completely full with a wait. Our server was great, he was attentive and speedy. For food, we got the Mac and cheese bites which I enjoyed. It came with a whiskey bacon jam that I was intrigued to try. I got the country fried steak that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was great! My only complaint is that water from the green beans leaked down the plate and made the bottom of my meat soggy). My mashed potatoes and both of husbands sides came in little containers which I think is a great idea so that's the main reason I point it out. Not sure why they didn't do it for my green beans. My husband got the NY strip steak and he said it is the best strip steak he's ever had! It had great flavor and sear. Of note, a lot of the cuts of meat require 24 hour advance notice, so keep that in mind if you're wanting one of the "better" cuts of meat! I really loved the homey feel of the place and the cozy vibe it gave off.
